Best Pet-Friendly Wedding Hotels
When it comes to your big day, there's no reason you need to leave behind your four-legged friend. In fact, Greater Palm Springs has always served as a pet-friendly destination, and a vast majority of the hotels accept pets.
Incidentally, Greater Palm Springs is a top wedding destination where furry friends have been known to be part of the ceremony. We rounded up our favorite pet-friendly wedding hotels and venues where your pooch can get in all of the action.
Riviera Palm Springs is one of the "pet friendliest" resorts in Palm Springs, thanks to its 24 acres of landscaping that includes outdoor courtyards, gardens and sprawling lawns that your pooch will love as a playground (and couples will love the spaces for their wedding guests). There's a $100 non-refundable fee for guests who bring their pets (under 50 pounds). A dog bed, bowl and a treat are included.
Ace Hotel loves dogs as much as dogs love visiting. Not only is there an on-site dog friendly park, but dogs are allowed to hang out with you at the pool (very unusual for hotels!). Dogs get further fresh air by roaming in and around the outdoor patio fireplace. Weddings here have been popular for younger brides, thanks to the hotel's hip culture. There's a pet fee of $25 per day, and it's totally worth it.
The Saguaro is the only hotel in Palm Springs that welcomes pets of any size without a fee or deposit. It's a great launching point for easy dog walks in mid-century neighborhoods, in addition to terrific hiking trails less than five minutes from the hotel (like the Lykken trail). The staff can arrange plenty of pet amenities like pet sitting, grooming and even organic, locally made pet food!
Dream weddings come true at La Quinta Resort and it’s so pet-friendly that there’s a PAWS pet experience exclusively for your pooch! Pets frolic upon the 45 acres of open grounds. With a $100 pet fee, dogs receive a pet-friendly door hanger, dog bone at check in, oversized pet bed and “Material Dog” travel tote bag. There’s even relaxation massages for dogs in the spa, should you have no choice but to pamper.
Couples get plenty of privacy when tying the knot at the chic Avalon: an entire section of the resort (even the entire resort) can be reserved complete with stand-alone villas and studios for guests. Pets love the hotel's three courtyards with manicured gardens. For $100 per stay, pets not only receive unique amenities when checking in, they are also gifted with a take-home dog dish. There's a specially curated "Pooch Menu" to boot.
Palm Springs’ first and only lakefront hotel, The Chateau at Lake La Quinta, is welcoming a new breed of guests to enjoy its serene waterfront setting. The boutique retreat has a L’Petit Pup program, welcoming four-legged guests for overnight stays, offering special treats and amenities for guests’ best friends. At check-in, pets will find the room furnished with their own plush Martha Stewart™ pet bed, plus fresh food and water doggie bowl, Nyla bone and all natural, grain free organic treats from Ry’s Ruffery (as seen on ABC’s “Shark Tank”).
Outside their suite, pups can roam freely on the Chateau’s grassy lakefront patio. Dogs can also chow down with a special pet menu created by Executive Chef Nestor Ruiz of the Chateau’s acclaimed Mélange restaurant. L’Petit Pup program is open to dogs less than 25 pounds, with a one-time $100 pet fee per stay.
