October 12: Everything you need to know about Green Tea and Matcha. Learn more about this antioxidant powerhouse that has been around for centuries. Learn proper preparation, storage and how to use this amazing plant. Participants will get to sample many options and leave with the skills to incorporate green tea into their everyday lives.
October 19: Mushrooms 101 – Learn more about mushrooms and what they can offer to support good health. Learn how to buy, prepare and eat a variety of mushrooms. Participants will get to sample a delicious mushroom appetizer as well as a main course entrée made with these nutritious fungi. Participants will leave the class with their own sampling of fresh mushrooms and a delicious Café recipe.
October 16: Simple ways to boost the antioxidant content of the food you already prepare at home. We all have heard how an antioxidant-rich diet can help our bodies fend off disease and maintain good health, but, where do antioxidants come from and how do we add these nutrients to our diets and busy lives? In this class, participants will learn to prepare and make simple changes to the food you already eat that will give your everyday food a boost.
